Our children

Every child has a name, a story, and a future.

Uganda is home to millions of orphaned and vulnerable children. We cannot reach them all — but the ones we do reach are known, loved, fed, taught, and prayed for by name.

How a child comes home

A child is referred

Local churches, village leaders, and social workers bring us children who have lost parents or are living in danger.

Family first

Wherever a safe relative can care for a child, we support that family with food, school fees, and follow-up visits.

A place to belong

When there is no safe family, the child joins our home with full time staff who knows their name and understands child's background.

Growing up whole

School, meals, medical care, discipleship, and mentoring continue until the child is ready to stand on their own.

    Kezia is the older sister of Sarah. She is reserved and soft spoken but once the music comes on she loves to dance. She is protective of her sister and has the most beautiful heart.

    Mary is the second orphan that was taken in at Mark of Hope. She likes volleyball, eating and the color pink. Mary has a very talented voice and often leads the children in worshiping the Lord. Her favorite Bible verse is Matthew 6:25.

Child protection

We tell stories with permission, never at a child’s expense.

Names are sometimes changed and photographs are shared only with consent from guardians and staff. Dignity comes before fundraising.
