Janice
From Abandoned to Sharing the Gospel
Janice was only eight months old when she was abandoned in a garbage pit. For two days, she remained there—hungry, crying, and alone—until passersby heard her cries and community leaders contacted Mark of Hope.
When we arrived, we picked her up, held her close, and welcomed her into a family where she would be loved and cared for.
Today, Janice is eight years old, and her story looks very different. She is an avid reader of the Bible and shares the Gospel with children at her school and throughout the neighborhood surrounding Mark of Hope. Her favorite verse is John 8:22-24.
Through Janice's testimony and the transformation others have witnessed in her life, more than 178 people have given their lives to Christ.
The little girl whose cries were once heard from a garbage pit is now using her own voice to tell others about Jesus.
Her story reminds us that no child is beyond the reach of hope.
